Interns and entry-level analysts in these financial institutions are posting about their work life on Tik Tok in an industry characterized by its confidentiality. TikTok is increasingly influencing the young demographic globally and has been described as the most addictive app in recent times. Truly it is. I see how my friends get immersed in it for hours. Interestingly, the influence extends beyond social media. 40 per cent of young people now make their search queries on TikTok instead of Google, and its operations are expanding into e-commerce to compete with the likes of Amazon. Because of the platform's teeming young audience, other social media platforms - Twitter, Youtube, and Instagram have begun to imitate it.
