But as the continent gets more wealthy and accelerates digitally, an increase in cyber crimes threatens economic growth.Although cybercrime is threatening businesses globally, African companies are the most endangered. The continent is relatively limited in terms of communication infrastructure but with the increase in the penetration of technology, it is increasingly becoming a target for cybercriminals due to poor governmental commitment to cybersecurity.
